the aftermath of valentine’s day posts make me nauseous. I dislike valentine’s day for many reasons. Mostly because no one should go a day without knowing they’re loved. Everyone is loved and I think God would agree that he calls people to love EVERY day. So what makes valentine’s day any different? I’ll tell you. Hallmark. Overpriced roses ($35+ for a dozen), overpriced chocolate, overpriced balloons (I have no idea who gets balloons anyways but that’s weird), overpriced anything that they can put a heart on for a day and call it a “Valentine’s Special.”

This is all incredibly complainy, I know. Wanna know what WILL make a girl happy? Buy her her favorite flowers when they’re NOT overpriced, make her dinner (I accept grilled cheese with mac & cheese) or get her favorite kind of take out, and tolerate a movie she might like. This really just sounds like a night of hanging out to me with some flowers that are tagging along. Perhaps that comes off as complainy as well, however, valentine’s day is just another day where business can jack up prices on ridiculous looking things that are covered in pink and red.

That’s well more than enough though so if you enjoy some ranting I hope you enjoyed and if you don’t like the ranting then I’m sorry for the couple minutes of your life that you lost. Seriously, my apologies.

Keep it real.

anxiety and disconnection.

Words haven’t been working with me lately. Unfortunately, neither has my camera. Not that IT isn’t working but that I am not working with it… Not making time for some creative outlets is really causing some anxiety inside. It’s freaky what anxiety does to the person of a right-sided functioning brain. Let’s hope I can get to the art store this weekend or at least get Jasmine back up and running. (Yes, all my gadgets have names.) Hopefullly I’ll be getting some postings up soon with something more interesting. That’s the story for now, however, things are going to be changing soon… yes. very soon.

cheers. xoxo
